Here's some fun news that fits perfectly with yesterday's blog post: John Cusack will be portraying Edgar Allen Poe in a new movie titled "The Raven". The movie is described as a thriller following the fictionalized last days of Poe's life. Some people have suspected that Poe was murdered by a person who was inspired by his horror stories. There are many theories as to how Poe died, but the only thing historians can agree on is that he was found face down in a gutter. He was 40 years old.
I'm really looking forward to this movie since I'm both a big fan of Poe and John Cusack! Here's a split screen of Poe and Cusack that I found online. Do you think they look similar?

ReplyDeleteThis post just popped up as part of the "You might also like: - LinkWithin" widget. At first I thought you'd done a review on the movie, then I realized this post was back in January 2011. I keep meaning to ask you if you've seen it yet? I got the DVD a while back and I absolutely loved it. :) Now I like to imagine that Poe really did look like John Cusack! ;)
