Oh, what's reminding you of our witch party? The colors, plant names, or just flowers in general? Yeah, you do have to wonder about who named the plants. :) Although, the names are a great fit. It makes me wonder about the names I'd come up with for these plants if I got to name them. The "Night Sky" name is absolutely perfect. I was thinking those would be even cooler if there was somehow a little crescent moon shape on each flower!Justine’s Halloweenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04036212957533234176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8795347148428519606.post-78757134335761393642017-05-21T08:06:24.506-05:002017-05-21T08:06:24.506-05:00Great post! There must be a lot of horror fans that name these plants.Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12113184140276416114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8795347148428519606.post-64322451733753684022017-05-18T22:01:30.894-05:002017-05-18T22:01:30.894-05:00Lisa ~ No way! I'm sure you can attest to the Black Magic ones looking lint/dust free in person. :) I don't know what was going on with how they photographed. That's clever to do the school colors with flowers! So, you did some school color themed bouquets? Or arrangements in pots? I'm tempted to pick up some of the Night Sky petunias and a few others here after studying my photos. Now they're staying on my mind!Justine’s Halloweenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04036212957533234176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8795347148428519606.post-25731119237426521612017-05-18T21:02:23.274-05:002017-05-18T21:02:23.274-05:00I love the petunias! I got some of the black magic ones 2 years ago for my daughter's graduation party (her school colors were black, white & orange) and I got my Mom some night sky ones just a few days ago for Mother's Day - she loves them!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06721618593816063122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8795347148428519606.post-39392762534284315372017-05-18T11:39:05.127-05:002017-05-18T11:39:05.127-05:00Alison ~ True! (Suddenly really warm after a seemingly never-ending winter) I've had a long list of things I wanted to do all winter that I'm jumping on right now. Like, spray painting furniture/frames and of course gardening. But I've been missing blogging, so it felt good to get back on here.

Well, the red pinecones are new to me so I'm not really sure. But my understanding is that the males turn red until they maybe disintegrate after letting loose all their pollen? I don't think they'll become the large, woody pinecones we're used to thinking about. But maybe the color will fade a bit.

That's cool about the Blood Leaf plant! I meant to look up these plants in the photos, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm tempted to try growing some of these. I'd wondered if the red would stay just around the edges of those leaves or eventually cover more of the plant. Like, my pink polka dot coleus started with just a few pink dots and then went really pink.

Yay, 165 days! Where is the time going?Justine’s Halloweenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04036212957533234176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8795347148428519606.post-75582351903725770942017-05-18T05:21:26.138-05:002017-05-18T05:21:26.138-05:00Its too nice to be stuck in doing blog posts. I had a search for it and it retains the colour year round. Its quite hardy too, so it might be a good plant for your yard. 165 days to Halloween!
